The Washington Nationals have released Willy Mo Pena. Pena was once considered part of the Reds’ outfield of the future along with Adam Dunn and Austin Kearns. Unfortunately for Pena, he only looks like and shares part of his name with Mo Vaughan.
The old Jim Bowden Reds’ outfield could have been reunited this season in Washington after Dunn was acquired. Bowden recently resigned from his position as general manager and it looks like Willy Mo will be looking for employment elsewhere with him. Or not, Bowden has himself in some shady waters, but that’s a story for another day.
